Hello Baby,
All is well!!! All of Mommy's sugar readings came back in the normal range. I don't have gestational diabetes! That is exciting news! (Honey, I think you are experiencing hiccups as I type this message to you...Yep! That's what it is!) I'm cooking dinner for us to eat. (Soon, soon, soon!)

We are a few days from 30 weeks, Baby! Isn't that something? Time is really flying by... you will be with us for all to see very soon (not too soon, though). As always, we want you to stay in mommy's tummy for as long as you need to. Can't wait though.

Loving you, Baby.

Hello Baby,
Today Daddy and I toured the labor and delivery unit of the hospital where we plan to deliver you. It's such as nice place. I think you will like it very much. The labor and delivery rooms are very cozy. It feels much like home, but with a few pieces of equipment nearby to help Mommy out during delivery and to help you out as needed once you are born.

We are so excited about your upcoming birth. Hopefully, we can get one of the those rooms that has a whirlpool so that we can relax better. We got a lot of information about what to expect at the hospital. It was very, very helpfull to have the tour!

We go back to the doctor tomorrow to screen for gestational diabetes. We aren't claiming that Baby. Let's make sure our systems are all on point, Baby. I have to stop eating by 10pm tonight, by midnight at the latest. We're going to try for no more food after 10 pm ... and we're going to drink lots of water. So get ready...Mommy will be in the bathroom a whole lot tonight.

Continue growing well Baby.
Love Mommy

First Hiccups

Hi Baby,
For the first time, I felt you hiccup a few minutes ago. I kept wondering why you kept moving, and if you were okay. I realized that your movements were steady and rhythmic and remembered someone said, "wait until the baby has the hiccups." And I thought that must be what it is... just as it is when I or daddy get the hiccups.

We had your 28 week appointment today. Your heartbeat was strong like horses galloping in a field. That's good baby! Keep growing well!

Oh yeah, Yesterday was Father's Day... You are really blessed to have your dad. He's great!

Your hiccups have settled... :)

Dear Sweet Baby,
I wanted to write a quick note before I get off of my feet for the day. Today has been a really good day. We had lunch with our dear friend and laughed for a while with coworkers after lunch. Later I met Daddy at the mall and he purchased us a few more shirts to wear. You are growing and growing so fast that Mommy's shirts are slowly rising exposing a little more my belly each day. I really wouldn't mind walking around bare bellied especially as it gets hotter, but it seems that people aren't too used to that from a few looks I received on Sunday while out with you.

Today, Sweet Baby, you kicked and kicked Mommy in the bladder many times. I tried to lean back while driving thinking that you were trying to tell me to give you more room. Maybe it was just your position... maybe your feet felt my cushiony bladder and you couldn't resist stepping on it again after your foot sprang back. I don't know, Sweet Baby. I count it all as a blessing though Sweet Baby. Kick away! Kick away!!!

Mommy loves you!

Ohhh Baby!

Your movements are becoming more and more noticeable. They are stronger and I feel them more often than I had in the past. I think it's because you are running out of room in your habitat. It's getting a little more cramped in there and I feel it!

Many say you won't hang there until your anticipated due date because Mommy is showing so much. They say "you are all Belly!" I couldn't agree with them more. It's getting a little harder to move around, but it's not impossible. Just noticeable! We have to keep moving though! We want to keep things limber so that you can join us with ease.

Keep growing Baby! Keep growing and developing well!

Our First Mini-Shower & Baby Furniture

Dear Baby,
A few of Mommy's co-workers put together a mini-baby shower at one of Mommy's 3 schools for us yesterday. It was a surprise...they squeezed it into our meeting agenda, and it was the sweetest gesture. It made your existence all the more real. Seeing the gifts...the little socks, the teeny-tiny newborn diapers... I haven't stopped thinking about you since.

Also, Daddy and I, along with another very helpfull coworker, picked up two pieces of your furniture- the crib and the armoire. They were heavy, heavy, heavy!!! I felt really bad for daddy and Mr. C, who helped. We're moving right along with our preparations for you. We want it to be cozy and warm for your arrival. We look so forward to seeing you in a few months.

Keep growing well!!!!
